Welcome to the Stanley Weiss Collection
We have evolved over time into a living museum which displays the finest Classical and Colonial furniture in situs as a number of exhibitions in clusters in our relocated space from the iconic Tilden-Thurber Building. Displays are shown on a large 10,000sf. footprint. We open our facilities to other institutions in the decorative arts, i.e. RISD, Yale, Brown, and–as in any museum–we can accession or deaccession. Through the development of our extensive online gallery experience, including full scholarship and detailed photos on many pieces, we bring our collection.
Having first publicly established ourselves as a collector’s/retail gallery back in 1993, we were able to grow and perfect our collection to the standards for which we were guided by the major museums and exhibitions. Brock Jobe of Winterthur and Pat Kane of Yale have always been guiding lights. We have always lived up to the standards of the Sacks of which Albert Sack had been a personal mentor for the last 20 years of his life.
We are available by e-mail for any questions and/or to schedule a gallery visit of our exhibition. Marc Beaulac, our Collection Archivist, will receive all inquiries, continuing the tradition of excellence in our evolving museum collection.
